Read Midnight's Wake, a story about a girl whose life changes when a stranger interrupts her life.

Preview: There was a strike of lightning. The lightning struck the field causing a ring of fire around me. I didn't get a chance to try to run out of the field when I heard a voice.
"I have come for you. It is your time to die," it said in an eery tone.
"What? What do you mean? My time to die?" I asked, breathless. It can't be my time to die.
Before me a woman with black curly hair that fell to her upper back, cold blue eyes, and fair skin appeared. She looked like she was five-foot six-inches tall. Maybe taller. Not only that, but she looked like an assasin
